Taekwondo is a 2000-year-old martial art, offering a variety of benefits for people of all ages and abilities. Students have the opportunity to improve concentration and self-esteem, achieve lifelong physical fitness, and learn self-defense. Fencing
Ages 6-12

Discover the exciting world of fencing with the Eminence Fencing Academy. This beginner program introduces kids to the sport of fencing and teaches the fundamentals in a fun, safe, and controlled environment.

Instruction covers basic footwork, distance control, and engaging in fencing with a safe, electrical sword.

Obstacle Course Fun: Ages 3-5

Preschool Ninja Classes will focus on developing coordination and strength through skills such as balancing, hanging, jumping, climbing and running, while instilling self-confidence and teamwork in a safe and positive environment.

Obstacle Course Racing for Beginners: Ages 6-12

The Beginner Ninja class will focus on tackling the obstacles we have all seen on NBC's American Ninja Warrior! Ninjas are not required to have any prior experience with obstacles. They learn how to approach new challenges safely while having fun and exploring movements. Instructors set goals and challenges for students which help them gradually develop solid fundamental skills.

Falcons Hockey

In partnership with the Falcons Hockey Association, Lake Forest Parks & Recreation is excited to introduce kids to ice skating and the game of hockey!

This entry-level program focuses on building a solid foundation in skating, stick handling, shooting, and passing. Falcons coaches evaluate and group skaters into appropriate skill levels for a fun, supportive time on the ice.

Hockey gear required: skates, helmet with mask, shin and elbow pads, gloves, and stick. Rental gear is available.
